School Vision

“ We aspire to be a school where every student develops a love for lifelong learning, cultivates a good character and strives to achieve their best in all aspects of life. Our goal is to nurture young minds to become confident global citizens who can dream of a life full of amazing possibilities.”

Our Mission

The ‘Vision’ of our school is affirmed in the following directions :

  • To enrich the education within our classes to the greatest extent possible and maximise its imprint of a ‘joyful engagement’ on our students.
  • To identify shortcomings of learning within individual students and simultaneously explore holistic measures for their correction.
  • To ensure an ever-present system of support for the ‘weakest’ among our students.
  • To consciously and conscientiously append elements of ‘values’-centric instruction within the pedagogy of our classrooms.
  • To devise the right spaces, circumstances and opportunities for unique expressions of creativity and self-discovery within our students by a variety of extra- and co-curricular engagements.
  • To familiarise our students, albeit in abridgement, with the pre-eminent historical and social discourses of the world and to its dominant scientific and educational trends.
  • To encourage our students in surmounting their ‘self-limiting beliefs’ and animate prodigious faculties, should these lie latent within them.

From the Principal's Desk

“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man” says Swami Vivekananda, whose philosophical and spiritual heights are known to the world.

Guided exclusively by Swamiji’s message, the “Jail Road Infant School”  was set up in 1913 for imparting educational services to the region with the sole objective of ‘holistic development of a child’ in true sense.

Presently, the school has embarked upon building a robust ‘digital infrastructure’ so as to cater to the digital needs of the students, in line with the NEP 2020.

Testimonials

I cherish with my heart the memories my school JRBHSS. The foundations were so well laid out and so strong! It stood me in good stead in all the subsequent years. I went for my higher education to St. Anthony's College Shillong, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, MIT USA, have travelled many countries, held many top positions including Director IIT Patna (2015-20), Abdul Kalam National Fellow, Advisor to Govt. of India in Artificial Intelligence and so on. Every time I have felt tired or overwhelmed I have remembered the golden message of one of the stalwart headmasters of the school Shri Satish Sikdar, "tomaraa morite morite banchiya uthibe...tomaader mrityu nai..."
