Admission Process

Secondary Section

For admission into classes between (and including) VI and X (boys only), the criteria for eligibility and documents necessary, are stated as follows:

Admission may be based on an applicant’s performance in a class-specific entrance test if deemed necessary by the school. 

 The following documents need to be furnished in their original for a prospective student/ applicant and submitted in their copies –

  1. Birth Certificate.
  2. Aadhaar Card
  3. Transfer Certificate from the institution attended previously.
  4. Migration Certificate (only if the applicant has attended an institution under an education board different from the Meghalaya Board of School Education). 
  5. Mark Sheet(s) from the examination last appeared in.

For admission into Class- X, the following additional documents are required –

  1. Permission from the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate educational body.
  2. No-Objection Certificate (N.O.C.) from the previous school.
  3. Details of the applicant’s registration under the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate educational body.

Higher-Secondary Section

For applicants who have passed their Class X/S.S.L.C. examination under the M.B.O.S.E./C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. or a similar official institution, the admission into Class XI (co-educational), has the following stream-specific eligibility criteria  –

Science-stream – At least 55% marks in Science and Mathematics.

Commerce-stream – At least 50% marks in Mathematics and English.

The following documents need to be furnished in their original for a prospective student/applicant and submitted in their copies –

  1. Birth Certificate.
  2. Aadhaar Card.
  3. Character Certificate from the institution attended previously.
  4. Mark-Sheet of Class X/ S.S.L.C. examination from the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate
  5. Certificate of Class X/ S.S.L.C. examination from the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate educational body.
  6. Transfer Certificate from the institution attended previously.
  7. Migration Certificate (if the applicant has attended an institution under an education board different from the Meghalaya Board of School Education).
