Admission Process
Secondary Section
For admission into classes between (and including) VI and X (boys only), the criteria for eligibility and documents necessary, are stated as follows:
Admission may be based on an applicant’s performance in a class-specific entrance test if deemed necessary by the school.
The following documents need to be furnished in their original for a prospective student/ applicant and submitted in their copies –
- Birth Certificate.
- Aadhaar Card
- Transfer Certificate from the institution attended previously.
- Migration Certificate (only if the applicant has attended an institution under an education board different from the Meghalaya Board of School Education).
- Mark Sheet(s) from the examination last appeared in.
For admission into Class- X, the following additional documents are required –
- Permission from the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate educational body.
- No-Objection Certificate (N.O.C.) from the previous school.
- Details of the applicant’s registration under the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate educational body.
Higher-Secondary Section
For applicants who have passed their Class X/S.S.L.C. examination under the M.B.O.S.E./C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. or a similar official institution, the admission into Class XI (co-educational), has the following stream-specific eligibility criteria –
Science-stream – At least 55% marks in Science and Mathematics.
Commerce-stream – At least 50% marks in Mathematics and English.
The following documents need to be furnished in their original for a prospective student/applicant and submitted in their copies –
- Birth Certificate.
- Aadhaar Card.
- Character Certificate from the institution attended previously.
- Mark-Sheet of Class X/ S.S.L.C. examination from the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate
- Certificate of Class X/ S.S.L.C. examination from the M.B.O.S.E. or a cognate educational body.
- Transfer Certificate from the institution attended previously.
- Migration Certificate (if the applicant has attended an institution under an education board different from the Meghalaya Board of School Education).
